It is a game that can be enjoyed by pretty much anyone. Those wanting to learn can dish out massive combos, but there is also fun to be had via button mashing too. I will say to get the best out of it, you need to use a 6-button control pad. The game has a roster of eight characters which may seem small, but each character is truly unique.

They actually digitized the wrestler the same way they did the characters in Mortal Kombat and they look great. The Genesis version here is probably the weakest looking of all the versions in terms of visuals, but the game still looks good. I am a massive wrestling fan and as great as the roster is by the time the game was released in the roster was a bit out of date.

For example, no Diesel, Owen Hart or British Bulldog were in the game despite being a major part of the WWF for well over a year before the game was released. It is so over the top and fun that you cannot help, but have a smile on your face while you play. While I do feel that the arcade version is the one you really want to play. You are still in for a fun time here with this bit version. This is a game I play multiple times a year and I always have fun when I do.

You can chose between 8 wrestlers in either 1 or 2 player modes. If 2 players are chosen, you can kick the crap out of each other or build a tag team try choosing the same wrestler — it's kinda fun when there are three Yokozunas in the same ring. You can compete for the intercontinental or the heavyweight title — not much difference really — except that in intercontinental you start fighting 1 guy and end up with three opponents for the grand finale.

The graphics in the game are nice with good graphics all throughout the game. The title screen looks nice and the in-game music is pretty good as well originally on the Commodore 64 but in the PC version I could really be without it completely.

As well, there are sound effects, such as the sound of your opponent or in my case, me The game is pretty easy in the beginning but it gets really hard. I crushed my first opponents without a problem, but as I got further down the road, the computer beat me up pretty bad. But, what can you do? Originality isn't a problem.

There aren't many wrestling games out there, especially good ones like this. So this game picks up a lot on those points. Overall, this game is pretty good. If you are a wrestling buff, or just looking for a solid game to play, you might want to check this one out.
